A couple of days ago my computer started acting funny. Not funny ha ha, more like oh no what is going on funny. Anyway by yesterday it was taking my computer 20 minutes to boot up when I turned it on. Yikes. Then it decided it did not wish to allow me to actually use any of my programs. It refused to let me get on the internet and what not. This is not good. My hubby has jobs to bid. I have paperwork to do and blogs to read for goodness sake. So this morning with hubbys blessing I joyfully drove to Office Depot, one of my favorite stores of all time, and met with an awesome geeky tech guy named Miles, and explained to him the situation with my wreck of a computer. Oh, well, it sounds like you got infected with the April Fools Worm.
Is THAT all??
It has basically rendered my computer useless. So I got a new shiny one today. I am in the process of restoring my files to this computer (thank goodness for Carbonite), and everything should be back normal tomorrow.

JoAnn, I heard on the news that there's a "fix" for that worm. Did your geeky tech guy tell you that? Or maybe it was just time to update anyway?
Have fun with the new computer. I hope to wait til Windows 7 comes out before I upgrade.
Mmm... that's scary! So it wouldn't start up... sounds like my son's computer! But a new computer sounds fun!
my husband heard the rumor about that bug. I personnally thought it was rubbish; but I guess you have proved me wrong! Just to be safe we turned our computer off, and disconnected it for the whole day of April first. I had to go a whole day without the computer! ;) Now I know it was worth it!
I sure was relieved when we didn't get it, it is just a matter of time though, and something will get us. Fun to have a new computer though.
Hey sis, are you sure you didn't just do a little tech thing to your old computer, so you could update? he he
Well isn't that annoying?!! But have fun learning the new computer. I'm sure you'll love it.
Oh my...that is horrible! Maybe your old one can be fixed and you could have two computers, eventually! I loved reading your posts. Your life sounds surprisingly similiar to mine. I am trying to get back in to the bloggy world again, so hopefully we will see each other around more!! *muah*
I am just now getting caught up from the big surprise wedding & hopped over to visit from your comment on my blog. Thanks for the congrats! :-) And, sorry for your computer troubles...I would be lost on what to do! I know how to email and blog but none of the tech stuff!
You have a beautiful family! Thanks for reading - I love comments! heehee!
